The Australian Catholic University is a national leading institution with regard to the areas of Education in Health, Nursing, Education, Arts, and Exercise Science. Additionally, there are programs such as Social Sciences, Business and Information Technology, Philosophy, Theology, and Liberal Arts that offer an excellent education. Practical areas, in addition to the classic courses of study, are offered and made possible through co-operation with other institutions. Above all, the faculty wishes to instill in their students an underlying foundation of respect towards other cultures, religions, and traditions. So, at the institution's six locations, it is not exclusively about academics as much as it is about co-operation. On every campus students will find student facilities that offer leisure and sport activities, as well as organized events.

Location of the Australian Catholic University Brisbane
The Australian Catholic University in Brisbane is located on the northern outskirts of Banyo, only 12 kilometers away from the city center. The area is 40 hectares in size and surrounded by nature and wildlife. The campus is on the site of the former Pius XII Provincial Seminary. Campus facilities include a book store, cafeteria, coffee shop, library, computer rooms, and sporting grounds. Additionally, the Student Association organizes events, such as the annual ball, green day, toga party and a range of other events throughout the year.

City Profile Brisbane
Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland in northeastern Australia and with 1.7 million inhabitants the third largest city oft he continent. Because of the subtropical coastal climate with warm and muggy summers and mild and dry winters, the region is also called “Sunny State”; air humidity is extremely high from November to April. Especially Brisbane´s surroundings are always worth a trip: Surfers Paradise, Fraser Island or sapphire blue Moreton Bay with its sandy beaches are popular and beautiful destinations. There is always something to do in terms of culture and sports, and while you take a walk in the city centre´s cafés, live music will draw your attention. The mixture of city life and nature makes Brisbane a fascinating destination for every traveler.

Description:

International students have the possibility to participate in the Study Abroad Program. The program allows students to study up to two semesters at the Australian Catholic University.

Students have an ample selection of courses of study, each lasting 12 weeks (one semester). Normally, full-time students take four courses per semester.

Requirements:

International students must be enrolled in at least three courses to meet Visa requirements. High school completion or equivalent is required prior to enrollment.

In addition one must have completed a TOEFL or IELTS examination to demonstrate English language skills.

All opportunities to show the required command of English:
IELTS: 6.5 (kein Teil unter 6.0)
TOEFL (internet-based): 90 (Writing: 25)
