The Australian Catholic University is a national leading institution with regard to the areas of Education in Health, Nursing, Education, Arts, and Exercise Science. Additionally, there are programs such as Social Sciences, Business and Information Technology, Philosophy, Theology, and Liberal Arts that offer an excellent education. Practical areas, in addition to the classic courses of study, are offered and made possible through co-operation with other institutions. Above all, the faculty wishes to instill in their students an underlying foundation of respect towards other cultures, religions, and traditions. So, at the institution's six locations, it is not exclusively about academics as much as it is about co-operation. On every campus students will find student facilities that offer leisure and sport activities, as well as organized events.

Location of the Australian Catholic University North Sydney
Australian Catholic University in North Sydney's campus is located in the economic quarter of the city, and is only a five minute's train ride, over the Harbour Bridge to downtown. The Student Representative Council regularly organizes events such as the Yearly Ball and parties, to mention a few. Students also have computer rooms, library, cafeteria, lounges with billiards and ping-pong, a book store, a print store and much more.

City Profile North Sydney
North Sydney is a suburb and a business district on Sydney´s northern shore in Australia´s state New South Wales. It is only three kilometers to downtown Sydney which you can either go by car or by train across Sydney Harbour Bridge. At this place, you can find the almost largest concentration of office buildings in New South Wales, and especially the advertising and information technology industries are very active. In addition to 60.000 inhabitants, there are 63.000 commuters and 15.000 pupils and students per day who go back home in the evening. The climate is influenced by the sea and features warm summers and cool winters: average daily temperatures reach 22,5 °C in January and 12 °C in July. Greenwood Shopping Centre is considered as the main shopping mall and is connected with North Sydney Station. Australia´s Prime Minister has his official residence in Kirribilli House in the North Sydney area, and he owns a private home in the same area in Wollstonecraft.

Description:

International students have the possibility to participate in the Study Abroad Program. The program allows students to study up to two semesters at the Australian Catholic University.

Students have an ample selection of courses of study, each lasting 12 weeks (one semester). Normally, full-time students take four courses per semester.

Requirements:

All international students have to attend at least three units to fulfill the visa requirements. To do so, they need their high school diploma

It is obligatory for students to demonstrate their English-language ability through a TOEFL or IELTS examination.
