Location of the Flinders University
Spread over 165 hectares, the Bedford Park campus is built like a small city: There you can find different businesses, a post office, a bank, drug store, hairdresser, bookstore, travel agency, laundromat, a music-hearing room, a religious facility, and the traditional student facilities such as a cafeteria and sport gym. Buses regularly drive from Adelaide to the surrounding beaches and to the Marion shopping center, the largest shopping center in the southern hemisphere. On the campus itself there are thousands of trees and areas of natural bushland. The elevated site offers panoramic views of the nearby coast, and the rest of the city. Around the lake in the south campus is the registry office, the library, and the rest of the offices. Further offices and research facilities can be found in and around Port Lincoln, Renmark, Mount Gambier, Warrnambool (Victoria), Darwin and Alice Springs (Northern Territory).

City Profile Adelaide
South Australia's Adelaide, with 1.2 million inhabitants, is best known for its sport and cultural events. This explains the city's nickname, the "Capital of Festivals". One particularly renowned and illustrious celebration is the "Adelaide Festival", with grandiose art and culture exhibitions. The city is vibrant and as such, offers local youths a wonderful environment. The city has three internationally-recognized universities, shopping districts, and much more. In this Mediterranian climate on the Indian Ocean, with over 2,500 hours of sunshine in the year, one can really enjoy their time on the city's white-sand beaches. The city has over 32 kilometers of coastline. The average temperature in the Summer time is about 84 degrees Fahrenheit, 59 degrees Fahrenheit in winter, and in extreme cases, the temperatures can rise up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It never snows. Fortunately, this hot climate is perfect for wine-growing districts, and has given Adelaide yet another attractive feature, setting it apart from many other cities.
