Location of the Flinders University
Spread over 165 hectares, the Bedford Park campus is built like a small city: There you can find different businesses, a post office, a bank, drug store, hairdresser, bookstore, travel agency, laundromat, a music-hearing room, a religious facility, and the traditional student facilities such as a cafeteria and sport gym. Buses regularly drive from Adelaide to the surrounding beaches and to the Marion shopping center, the largest shopping center in the southern hemisphere. On the campus itself there are thousands of trees and areas of natural bushland. The elevated site offers panoramic views of the nearby coast, and the rest of the city. Around the lake in the south campus is the registry office, the library, and the rest of the offices. Further offices and research facilities can be found in and around Port Lincoln, Renmark, Mount Gambier, Warrnambool (Victoria), Darwin and Alice Springs (Northern Territory).
