The University of Sunshine Coast offers a vast variety of courses from different colleges: Arts and Social Sciences, Business and Science, and Health and Education. One can work to receive one of 68 undergraduate, and 50 graduate degrees. Language courses are also offered. The university offers its students assistance in many different areas. With a relatively small population of 5,000, the students can reap the benefits of access to many services that offer academic and financial assistance, or career or personal advice. One such organization is the International Relations Client Service. It regularly organizes activities for students to meet other students, and makes it possible to visit local attractions.

Location of the University of the Sunshine Coast

University of the Sunshine Coast's campus in Slippy Downs lies in Queensland city, 100 kilometers north from Brisbane. Wildlife such as Eastern Grey Kangaroos from the neighboring Mooloolah River National Park roam freely around the campus grounds. On the campus, you will find the Administration building, Business building, a library, two science, the Health, and the Education building, The Brasserie and Function Hall, the Arts and Social Sciences building, the Innovation Center, and the University Club. Nearby you will find an art gallery, book store, sport facilities, and restaurants. The buildings on campus have earned more than 25 prizes for planning, architecture, and construction. Only a small foot walk away is the post office, bank, cafes, and student dormitories. There are good bus and train connections to Brisbane, the beaches, and larger beaches in the vicinity of Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra and Noosa.

City Profile Sippy Downs

Sippy Downs lies on the Sunshine Coast which stretches in Queensland in east Australia over 150 kilometers on the coast between Bribie Island and Tin Can Bay. It has beautiful white beaches and is perfect for all kinds of water sport: The sea has a very pleasant temperature and the climate is subtropical. Temperatures rise to more than 30 °C in summer, and winters are relatively warm. You can also go in for all other kinds of sports in many different institutions or outside. In the outback are many nature parks, woods and picturesque mountains located, and Brisbane, Queensland´s capital, is only one hour´s drive away when you start from the most southern point of the area. Regarding Australian measures, the region is rather densely populated with 300.000 inhabitants; the largest city is Caloundra with 80.000 inhabitants. On the coast lies Maroochydore, a university city, and Noosa, one of the most beautiful resort towns. In addition, you can find art galleries, markets, libraries, cinemas, museums and more all over the region.
