Description of the Ramkhamhaeng University

More Photos
Ramkhamhaeng University is the largest university in southern Asia, and one of the largest in the world. The Institute of International Studies was established in 1999 for foreign students, with the program language being English. International students have 12 different degree-study programs to choose from. 90 % of the professors are foreign themselves: They work for universities in the USA, Canada, and Europe, and every year, work at the Ramkhamhaeng University. The teaching language is English, but two of the offered programs are taught in Chinese. Since the professors are mostly guest professors, they mainly bring to the table teaching methods, material, and educational content from their own countries. Furthermore, they expect that students engage in discussions and participate in lectures. Professors at the university usually know their students personally.
