HPU is a university situated in beautiful surroundings, and it underlies constant growth. Since it focuses on multiculturalism, the students primarily learn everything about intellectual commitment and social responsibility. There are numerous academic programs in different areas of study which are constantly being updated. All teaching facilities are very well equipped, and both campuses have their own library with a total of 150 000 volumes. Location of the Hawaii Pacific University
Hawaii Pacific University consists of two campuses which are connected through the Inter campus Shuttle Service. The buses cover the distance of 13 kilometers every 15 minutes, and students can easily move from one campus to the other. One campus is situated in the financial and administrative district of Hawaii in Honolulu and consists of seven buildings in the center of an exciting downtown atmosphere. The second campus is located in Kaneohe in the foothills of Ko´olau Mountains in a beautiful environment. This is where the School of Nursing and the College of Natural Science are based. Show in Map

Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii and situated on the southern banks of Oahu Island. The city and its surroundings have nearly 900 000 inhabitants from the whole Pacific area and there is no ethnic majority but a diverse mixture of Western, Polynesian and Asian influences. Being the only tropical city of the USA, Honolulu offers long sandy beaches, palm trees, mild average temperatures of 27 °C, exotic fruit and a lot more. Starting from here, you can easily reach all of Hawaii´s islands for an excursion. Honolulu is one of the cities with the cleanest air in the world, but in spite of that it offers all advantages of a metropolis. The nightlife with bars and clubs is very busy, but there are also a lot of cultural possibilities such as a trip to the Contemporary Museum of Arts or the Bishop Museum which are worth seeing. Description: The "Study Abroad" program at HPU allows participants to study up to two semesters, and choose desired subjects of study from both Bachelors and Masters programs.
The desired courses are sent in the application, then confirmed by faculty members. The placement in the course is determined by the professors. When making a decision, they take into consideration student space and the individual skill and education of the applicant.
The International Center at HPU is in charge of the "Study Abroad Program", since they are the most experienced group with international student affairs. They also possess ample information regarding language courses. HPU Semester Programs Fees: Registration fee: US$ 50

Exceptions: US$ 7,596 (Marine and Environmental Services); US$ 9,250 (Nursing Juniors / Seniors)
Included in the tuition are four to six courses, depending on if they are Bachelor or Masters courses. Tuition and Fees Requirements: Applicants to the HPU "Study Abroad Program" are required to have completed high school or equivalent, and have a good command of English.
This can be best demonstrated through a TOEFL or IELTS examination.

Accomodation of the Hawaii Pacific University
Campus dorms HPU offers its students the possibility to live in a dormitory (Residence Halls), on the Windward Hawai'i Loa campus.
The student rooms are available with a two or three-bed-room format; they are fully furnished and come with a personal bathroom.
Since there is limited room-availability at the HPU campus, the rooms are rented out early. It is good to note that HPU campus is reached in 20 minutes from the downtown main campus. Student dormitory accomodation is very suitable for younger students, as they will quickly settle in to student life.

US$ 3,775 per semester for a three-bed room including a meal plan
US$ 4,670 per semester for a two-bed room, including meal plan
note: the meal plan is obligatory and includes 14 meals per week.

Private apartment / hotel HPU does not organize off-campus accomodation, but offers off-campus living-option information on the housing Internet site.

Homestay Accommodation with a host family is ideal for those who would like to experience American lifestyle first-hand and speak English constantly. Host families are normally very interested in supporting their students and do a lot to make sure that they feel comfortable. The guest is usually accepted as a part of the family, has his or her own room, and eats with the family.
If you are interested in residing with an American family, you should familiarize yourself with certain living and house and rules.
