Description of the Montana State University
Montana State University offers a variety of excellent undergraduate and graduate programs to students from across the United States and around the world. MSU is especially known for quality programs in the fields of Agriculture, Architecture (NAAB), Business (AACSB), Computer science (CSAB), Engineering (ABET), Film Production, Nursing, and the sciences. The university attracts US$102 million annually for research and creative activities, and bright undergraduate students are encouraged to participate. Tuition costs remain reasonable when compared to those charged at institutions of similar good quality. A professional staff is available to assist students with advice upon arrival, arrange airport pickup, early housing, and help new students adjust to campus through an international orientation program. Personal attention and assistance is available for all international students throughout their stay in Bozeman, and many enjoy participating in the Global Culture Club or being matched with a local family from the Bozeman Friends of International Students group. International students at MSU experience America at its best, and give much to the community in return.

Bozeman is the fifth largest city in Montana and lies with its 8,000 inhabitants in Gallatin County, surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains. It offers a convenient small town atmosphere and at the same time all amenities of a metropolis. Agriculture is the most important economic branch; barley and wheat fields shape the landscape. The Outside Magazine has voted Bozeman one of the best 15 sport cities in the USA, and there are literally countless opportunities for fishing, skiing, hunting, hiking, climbing and canoeing. The area is a fisher´s paradise since they can reach numerous rivers and creeks within one hour. When people want to get out of the city life they only need to go to the mountains where they find a completely different atmosphere. There is beautiful nature in spring and summer and lots of snow for skiing in winter. The temperatures in summer are mostly rather mild and rarely rise to more than 30 °C; the average winter temperatures are rarely lower than -10 °C. The city organizes annual events such as the Sweet Pea Festival, Taste of Bozeman or the Christmas Stroll. People can also visit museums and galleries such as the Museum of the Rockies or the Montana Trails Gallery. Furthermore, there are numerous restaurants, nightclubs, bars and a lot more.
